The Body Lab is a unique hybrid of pilates, cardio and weight training that uses the state-of-the-art Megaformer™ to create an exercise experience unlike any other. It strengthens, tightens, and tones the entire body quickly and safely. It is an integrated combination of traditional pilates, that lengthens and stretches the muscles, strength training, and cardio. The 50 minute small group class environment helps to achieve optimal personal fitness.
All scheduling is done through Wellness Living, our automated system. Click on Become a member in the upper right hand corner of the page. Once you have created you account, click on the CLASSES tab and the schedule will come up. Select your class and when the system asks what you would like to purchase, select first class $15. You can also book through our branded app
It depends on your current fitness level. 99% of our new students do just fine in the classes. The workout is intense but the routine is kept simple to make sure everyone is using good form. However, if you have chronic back pain, painful joints or a severe medical condition, it is recommended to take a private session first to assess your fitness level.
The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you need to rest. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more, or less, time to recover. We recommend three times a week to allow your body to properly recover and repair. Listen to your body, it knows best.
Yes, even if it’s your first time. Our AZ studios require a 6 hour notice before making any kind of changes to your schedule and our KS studios require an 8 hour notice. A $25 late cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card on file each time you cancel or reschedule a class without giving the appropriate studio the required notice. Sorry, there are no exceptions.
We use an online system where the member can be in complete control. You will be asked to create a profile, login, and password. You will also be asked for a credit card to keep on file, which can be used for purchases, as well as any late charges. Our automated online booking system can be found THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED/UPDATED on our homepage at https://thebodylabus.com/ , as well as throughout this website. Once you have created an account, you can view the class schedule or purchase the pricing option that is right for you. Yes. We allow members to put their accounts on hold for a minimum of 14 days for a maximum of 2 times per 12 month period.
To be respectful and ensure that everyone’s class is distraction free, please leave your phone in the provided cubby.
1. Socks with tread are required *please capitalize required throughout the studio and for all classes. We have them available for purchase at all studios if you do not have them. This policy is enforced to keep the client safe and the machines sanitary.
2. Bring a towel as you will most likely sweat.;)
3. All studios have a water dispenser but some student may prefer to bring their own water bottle.
4. Wear comfortable clothes, that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin the “breathe” (similar to what you would wear for a yoga or dance class).
5. Jewelry is NOT a good idea. It may get caught in the spring system, but it is your choice.
6. No strong perfumes or lotions, please.
No, you do not. We ask that you leave your shoes in the assigned area under the benches outside of the studio.
